The History

This playing card features an illustration of an early biplane flying over a rural landscape, capturing the excitement of early aviation. It comes from the “Aircraft” series produced by W.D. & H.O. Wills, a British tobacco company known for including collectible cigarette cards in their products during the early 20th century. Issued around the 1910s–1930s, the Aircraft series showcased a variety of planes—from early experimental models to military and commercial aircraft—with each card displaying artwork on the front and technical details or descriptions on the back. These cards were both educational and collectible, reflecting the public’s growing fascination with flight and today serve as valuable pieces of aviation and advertising history.

Comes as-is.
